Day Two

First light from bed in the tent
We visited Santiago, a magical village where Pam is restoring a historic house: this is the back courtyard

Kathleen, Scott and Pam appreciating her local and very durable local cookware

 Jacq and "Mur-dawg"
 Delicious, giant pomelos
From Pam's we drove up into the mountains to this waterfall and swimming pool:  see it down there?

The moon from bed........

down at the beach

An area designated to relocate sea turtle nests to monitor them and insure the hatchlings make it to the sea

each nest has a sign indicating the date it was collected, the number of the nest, the number of eggs and the possible date of emergence
 Hi, babies!

textures

from dates drying in the sun to the adobe bricks for the guest house, a beautiful texture emerges wherever the eye rests

Thanksgiving in Los Barriles

Nearing the tip of the Baja California peninsula
Scott and Kathleen's magical place above an arroyo just outside of Los Barilles

 My magnificent and comfortable digs
Kathleen and Jacqueline's pretty touches in a corner of my tent

the joy of the outdoor shower

Oh golly, Sasha, you know how to make a girl feel welcome!  The boy knows how to make a margarita!
