Fun around town with Penny

Penny has arrived from Seattle and brought with her, the first evening, a deluge of horizontal rain and hail!  Happily, it was short lived and we are back to endless sunshine.

Had to take a break for hot chocolate and churros at Saint Augustín

We went out of town to the hot springs at Escondido Place, a short drive from San Miguel

A feast for the eyes

So much beauty everywhere, from the lizard door knocker of my house to the patterns on the leaves of an agave.

The courtyard of an apartment I went to see for a possible long term rental.

Exhausted after a day of running up and down cobbled streets, we retreat to the rooftop for a cold beer and spicy peanuts.  David checked his iPhone for the Spanish word for peanuts and look what technology gave him!

A day exploring with Tonia and David

Don Tomás has departed and Tonia and David have arrived!

David took this great shot of the kids

Murals at the Instituto Allende

A dandy light lunch break of bacon wrapped grilled asparagus on tomatoes, fish curry, and a vegetarian sandwich with grilled eggplant, mozzarella and a lot of other good stuff.  We didn't eat dinner.

The women's restroom at the Instituto Allende
Tonia's favorite flower, the daisy, reflected in her ears and on a door.

Evening drinks on the terrace with Ruthie, Nat, Tonia, Dave, Chris and Terry .Los Tangueros de Port Townsend!

Aaaaaaaaaaawed by the view!
