A Silent early Sunday morning walk

my new friends Polly, Jay and Sue

 the descent back into town

and a well-deserved breakfast!

movie and dinner

this pocket cinema is right around the corner
It seats 15 and for $4.38 you get a great movie (in this case it was "Les Femmes du 6eme Etage")
a drink (I had a glass of red wine) and popcorn!  Note the little fold out wooden tables for your drink and the wrought iron drink holders.

and then on to Ole Ole for a great dinner
a walk home past the popular taco stand
and past the old pharmacy with Maya keeping watch!                                  photo: Jay Kimball

Up on the roof (and looking down)

I find I'm spending lots of time on my rooftop.  It's warm, it's beautiful and you can keep an eye on the activity in the street below and in the neighboring courtyards.

I was having lunch when I heard the unmistakable tone of a live cello and leaned over to look below in the neighbor's courtyard to see a cello lesson underway.  (The teacher doesn't actually have a flower for a head.)

another unmistakable sound.....donkey hooves on cobbles
