First Morning in San Miguel

Bellas Artes.....still being restored (boo hoo!)

One of my favorite buildings, an ex-convent, and home to one of the art schools has been under restoration for the last 2 years.....they tell me that they'll  be finished and can have classes start again in March (maybe!)

The little lamb in the fountain in the central courtyard has always been so beautiful....now they've put a new one who is not as sweet.  The "Print Making Room"  looks like it has a way to go before I can take a class in it.

The Siqueiros frescoes are looking just the same though.

San Miguel.....music and color!

Day Two

First light from bed in the tent
We visited Santiago, a magical village where Pam is restoring a historic house: this is the back courtyard

Kathleen, Scott and Pam appreciating her local and very durable local cookware

 Jacq and "Mur-dawg"
 Delicious, giant pomelos
From Pam's we drove up into the mountains to this waterfall and swimming pool:  see it down there?

The moon from bed........

down at the beach

An area designated to relocate sea turtle nests to monitor them and insure the hatchlings make it to the sea

each nest has a sign indicating the date it was collected, the number of the nest, the number of eggs and the possible date of emergence
